Emergency pricing reflects urgency and risk more than a scheduled job does. A tree resting on a roof, tangled in a fence, or leaning on a power line has to be taken apart carefully so it doesn't do more damage on the way down, and that controlled, high-stakes work takes time and specialized rigging. After-hours and storm-surge calls, when crews are stretched thin, can carry a premium.
